'Four Corner' necklace by Genevieve Jones, black shorts, sheer gold lurex legwear, vintage velvet bustier, vintage belt & faux fur wrap.

The postman delivered the yummiest parcel on Tuesday, the amazing rose & yellow gold vermeil 'Four Corner' necklace by jewellery designer, style icon & muse Genevieve Jones.

Anyone who has read this blog for a while should know by now that I’m a big fan of Genevieve Jones fine jewellery. It has a mix of personality, obscurity and artisan that has always appealed to me. Each handmade piece gets the balance of artisan craftsmanship and the luxury perfectly.

The abso-freaking-lutely amazing and super generous gift sent from gorgeous Genevieve(thank you darling!) is such a beautiful piece!

I wore it out (in above images) on Wednesday night for dinner and the 18carat piece became a topic starter. At the Mulberry for Apple launch party the following night it got lots of lovely compliments again.

It is a truly personable design, made of three circles and a heart engraved with etching like drawings (a bird, smiley sun, moon etc) by the designer.

Adoring that its reversible dependant on the wearers’ mood, one side is rose gold and the other yellow vermeil. Genius!

I like jewellery that tells a story and this piece from the fall/Winter 2009 collection as inspired by 1970's movie The Holy Mountain and Jone's travels in the South West of North America does that in bucket loads.

Darling Gen thank you for this delish surprise and lust inducing necklace. It just might never leave my neck...

Mulberry + Apple

Last night Mulberry hosted a fab party to celebrate the launch of its collaboration with Apple at it's Bond Street store in London. Folk from Fashion,Art,Music,TV and Film were in attendance to celebrate the launch.

Top to bottom: actress Charlotte Riley, actress Natalie Press, model Poppy Delevingne and food writer/tv presenter Gizzi Erskine.

The prestigious British fashion house famous for its lust inducing accessories and bags(my fave is the Bayswater!) has collaborated with Apple to make sure that we can now carry our MacBooks,I-pods,I-Phones and other Apple products in style.

Think a collection including bags in Mulberry's signature natural leathers, lust inducing MacBook & MacBook Pro sleeves and small bags in bold colours or in trend leopard print.Below are some the yummy products. They all have enhanced inside features such as padding, headphone access, pockets etc.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The designs were dotted about in store which was decorated with giant slightly surreal candy red apples.

In between nibbling on loaded potato skins, super mini hot dogs(finger size)and delish fruit cocktails I fell in love with a MacBook bag or two. At the end of the party I wanted to take all the delish Mulberry for MacBook bags home! I have decided that my MacBook needs one ASAP.

After seeing the new products, it rather feels like I'm doing my MacBook a disservice by carrying it around in my boring bag!Needing that smudged animal print design like yesterday.

The collaboration is genius, pure function meets fabulous fashion.

They are available immediately from select Mulberry stores and online at Mulberry.com from 1st December.

It all began with Minnie Mouse...

I was crushing on bunny ears in May this year and my love for the delightful things has not waned.

To be honest, this love for all things ears began a long time ago. Right back to when I was four years old to when I had a weird obsession for Minnie Mouse's ears.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

That embarrassing obsession was somewhat made ok, when the genius that is Rei Kawakubo adorned models in an array of Minnie Mouse and bunny ear hats for the Comme des Garçons Autumn/Winter 2007 show.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Then came the Autumn/Winter 2009 shows and to my delight, lush ears popped up again. Louis Vuitton gave us delectable satin bunny ears(made infamous/famous by Madonna wearing them to Met Gala).

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

That same season,Moschino Cheap and Chic gave us a chic excuse to make like Minnie and wear mouse ears :O).

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I could not be adoring these lace ears by Maison Michel more! Totally not surprising as the fashion house has been creating the most delish headwear since 1936.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It has everyone including Lady Gaga,Lily Allen,Nicky Hilton,Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen etc going gaga...

You can wear the look too!

When fabulous Tamara Mellon,Founder and President of Jimmy Choo throws a party you know it is one not to be missed!

The delish darling threw the star studded bash at a fab private residence above the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills.

The launch party was to show off yummy key looks from the Jimmy Choo collection for H&M via a sleek presentation. Tamara looked fab dressed head to toe in the soon to be launched collection. How on trend is that leather dress?!

Actress Hayden Panettiere, singers M.I.A & Sheryl Crow, fashion designer Olivia Wylde,Paris & Nicky Hilton,Tamara Mellon, reality star Whitney Port,Angela Lindvall and yummy British TV presenter Cat Deeley were just a few of the line up(many in wearing pieces from the collection) who celebrated the Jimmy Choo collection for H&M in Hollywood last night.

I heart that talented Grammy award nominated artist, M.I.A performed. Love what she was wearing on the red carpet! Her outfit rocks with those Jimmy Choo for H&M leather thigh high boots. She looked fab performing too, in another pair of the yummy heels.Sublime!

I Think it is really great that for the first time Jimmy Choo has designed clothes to coordinate with his shoes and accessories!

Want to know more about the collection due for launch on the 14th of November? Read my previous post with all the gossip on it below.

I KNOW WHAT TOLULA DID ON HALLOWEEN...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

She became the hottest vamp ever that's what!

Beautiful Tolula Adeyemi(yes I know she looks super-vampishly-scary in the above images, but that means her costume worked silly ;o)) who is an actress, model and muse to Vivienne Westwood was the fab host of the Halloween do at London's Bungalow 8.

I hear it was the party to be at, with all the capital's gorge, fab and famous in attendance rocking fierce costumes.

I am simultaneously scared and drawn to the images of delish Tolula! Darling Tolula is there something you've forgotten to tell me ;o),as you look a tad too realistic in those hot fangs? Hehehe just joking, she is simply a stunner! who can carry anything off!

I do not celebrate Halloween but if I did,I'd dress up as a vamp just as my client did.

She threw together a fab costume. Heart the contact lenses, ears, the crushed velvet cape thrown on with an insouciant air all coupled with doses of dark attitude! Ohh the delish Tolula totally gets my vote for best 2009 celeb costume.

Her costume + the autumn/winter dark chic trend = inspiration for my collage below.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Derek Lam dress,Lanvin gloves-shoes-necklace and DKNY cape all available at NET-A-PORTER

I love the dark vamp look, drape yourself in tons of lusciously deep dark doses of black.
To get the major Autumn/Winter trend right,go for texture + drama + a smidgen of Morticia Adams attitude and your good to go.

The black lipstick is off course optional ;o)...

Glam Dark Kisses...
Marian.

Is there a Wildfox t-shirt or graphic print known to man that I do not adore?!

This American vintage inspired knitwear brand must have the secret formula to creating fun pieces that are simultaneously charming and cool. Kudos to childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon, who are the duo behind the label.

3. Arielle de Pinto

Her pieces are like a mix of your delicate vintage silk yarn crochet and the deconstructed. The Canadian designer hand makes her gold & silver vermeil web like spun creations.

I find them simultaneously spellbinding and weirdly wonderful. Is it not an amazing way to wear gold or silver, in this interesting spindly spun form? If you her designs them it's because quite a few of her pieces dripped off the smouldering Lakshmi Menon on the Dazed & Confused April 2009 cover.

It is no wonder that it has been featured in Harpers Bazaar UK, Vogue (varying international issues), FLUX, Elle, Zink and the list goes on...

Also adoring the ultra cute November issue of Teen Vogue with Chanel Imam and Jordan Dunn. Such gorge girls! Loving the 80's opulent feel of Russia Vogue's November issue as shot by Terry Richardson with the beautiful Daria Werbowy. Natasha looks wonderful on MUSE too.

6. Tom Ford Black Violet

Tom Ford former designer for Gucci and the purveyor of all things sexy knows how to create lust inducing perfumes.

In 2007 Black Orchid his first fragrance, was launched with Julia Restoin as the face of its glam ad campaigns. All it took was one whiff of the scent and I was obsessed with its deeply dark, sensual, and luxurious sensory notes.

Two years down the line and I am still wearing it nearly every day. When I am not wearing the Black Orchid then I also like to favour his White Patouchilli perfume.

The other day I fell in love with his Black Violet perfume (part of the 14 scent, Private Blend Collection) which is this rich heady warm blend of citrus, fruity, black violet and other divine sumptuous scents.

I think he has over 20 scents now. Each one is a wonderful sensory experience. I really need to stop smelling them as at this rate, I will soon have all 20 plus perfumes!
